The tool is also claimed to be able efficient in figuring out if the user has contracted coronavirus on the basis of the inputted data. The tool also comprises guidelines from WHO and the Indian government on what the user should follow for the protection against the virus, which is highly contagious and has claimed more than 16,231 lives globally so far, as per WHO data.

The symptoms checker has various profiles for whom this test is for - for yourself’, parent’, spouse’, child’, and someone else.’ Post that confirmation, a series of questions is presented on the screen with multiple options. At the end of the checking procedure, the user will get a report. Apart from the checker, the MyJio app has also been added with the information of the test centers for Covid-19 across India. There is also a section dedicated to the statistics on the currently active cases, cured cases, and the patients who succumbed to the disease caused by the pandemic.
A similar tool was recently launched by Apollo Hospitals on a dedicated website for Covid-19. The website has a similar set of questions that take the user’s information to analyze the chances of coronavirus infection. Some other medical start-ups have also launched tools on the same lines to help users amid the crisis.
